Experience the splendour of Far North Queensland as you take a visit our Cairns beachfront accommodation. On the Beach Holiday Apartments is a a mere stone’s throw away from the most spectacular tourist destinations in the country. For this blog we will be focusing on the World Heritage-listed Daintree National Park.

As the largest rainforest in Australia, Daintree Rainforest is inhabited by more than 3,000 species of plants and 315 mammal species, 13 of which are indigenous only to the Daintree area, including the tree kangaroo and the spotted-tailed quoll, a cat-sized carnivorous marsupial. You’ll also find endemic and extremely rare understorey tree namely the Noahdendron nicholassi and the Idiospermum australiense.

With its flourishing ecological system, Daintree Rainforest is the ideal venue for exciting outdoor activities such as trekking, birdwatching, kayaking, fishing, and “croc spottin”. You can opt to get a stunning bird’s eye view of the lush rainforest as you go jungle canopy surfing in Cape Tribulation. Glide through the treetops while attached from a full-body harness on flying fox cables. You’ll certainly enjoy the magnificent views over the vast rainforest canopy as well as the stunning Coral Sea.

After a full day of amazing explorations and delightful outdoor activities, visitors can have their fill of mouthwatering adventures at restaurants located within the Daintree National Park. Indulge on delicious meals at the Daintree touch. The Julaymba Restaurant & Gallery offers unique yet very tasty dishes and bush recipes probably concocted by the Kuku Yalanji people, Daintree’s traditional residents. You can also have your fill of delight full treats at Tea House Restaurant that offer first-rate local produce.
